I chose Mr. Jerry Acuzar because I 'am really inspired by his achievements and success in life. He is one of those many businessman who has a very unique way of thinking especially when it comes in his craft, he design buildings by his own way of thinking and construct in his mind in a different way. My favorite work of his is the Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar Heritage Resort, Bagac, Bataan.
Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar which is located in Bagac, Bataan is unique heritage resort. Unique, because the resort features old houses and structures dating as far back as the 19th century which were restored to become a museum of sort located in your typical resort.
So instead of the usual hotel rooms and cottages, at Las Casas Filipinas de Azucar, you can stay on old houses which were renovated inside to become your temporary abode during your stay in the resort. There’s also a cluster of rooms which are housed on a building with the facade of an old Escolta building. Other attractions in the resort include, an old University of the Philippines building, old houses from Pampanga, a huge plaza like area, Cafe inside an old house, museums, swimming pool, hilot center or spa and more. I really enjoyed my stay here with my family las 00/0/0000 we really had a great time together and spend a lot of bonding moments. I hope you also witness one of the paradise in the philippines. See you there!

Interview:

Q: Who is Mr. Jerry Acuzar?
A: I was born in balangan bataan de San Jose at the ninteenth of june 1995, I studied at balangan elementary school, bataan national trade school in highschool and I took architecture at MLQU (Manuel L. Quezon University) and tranfered at TIP (Technological Institute of the Philippines), I used to be a grassman in NHA (National Housing Authority).
Q: What are your dreams/What were your dreams?
A: When I was still young I just dreamed simple things like livelihood and to have own family. My simple aspiration has change a lot, I didn't expect that this would happen. This is because of my perseverance and dedication in my work, I always took each opportunity and never stop.
Q: What is your management styles?
A: My parents are my inspirations, I came from a poor family and I wanted to uplist my family from poverty, I wanted to give my parents a better life. Before, when I earn even a little penny, another thing that gives me inspiration are the successful people who earns and lives a good life, it makes me dream of living the same life.
Q: What can people see in you, compare to the other GM?
A: I can say that my advantage to the other businessman was I exprience how hard the work is since I was a child, so even I face difficult work I can handle it easily. I noticed that most of the youth today surrender easily whenever they feel burdened, unlike me who has experienced a lot of hardships, that is why I thank my parents for preparing me in conquering different problems.
Q: Whar is your mangement styles?
A: 1. Marketing is important if we're talkng about business, it is important to have a Plabra de honor means you commit, you also do the action, I can't take to loose people's trust. I you built a good relationship with other people treat them equally, so if you need something from them you would not encounter a problem. 2. Projects - If I received projects I always put mylself in dedication mode so I can focus on my work and I will never neglect the opportunities I always grab them so I can reach my objective. One's I got my chance I will take good care of it and take it seriously.
Q: What did it make to get this position?
A: Simply, perseverance, hardwork and dedication, I just brougt this attitude with me until now.
Q: How do you handle your success?
A: If you achieved something, that's what you call succes. Success is what you find when you work hard. I feel thrilled whenever I smell success because I 'am a perfectionist I want everything in order and I enjoyed it. Handling success, if you already have the success don't ever leave that, always monitor and continue working, beacause ones you let it go it's hard to find because success is very hard to achieve. The disadvantage of success when the time ypu left your personal obligations like little time for you family, personal convinence, relaxation etc. Also the term "wanna be" means not good success 50% personal life and 50% work you need to know what are your priorities.
Q: How do you give, considering this success?
A: I share all my success in those people in need, but somehow I still need to estimate people's intention maybe they're just playing around on me.
Q: What are your other dreams?
A: To boost our nation and to be able to help those in need and have proper distribution supply for the mob.
Q: Are you happy right now?
A: I 'am always happy and we need to be happy all the time because being happy helps us to work properly and achieve our dreams easily.
Q: What advices and tips can you share for those aspiring young ones to be like you?
A: If are planning to be a businessman someday like, henry sy, hong hong we, jerry acuzar myslef. You need to love your job that's the first thing, love your studies because this the way to practice your skills if really have it takes to be a businessman in this stage you will be able to learn the division of time how you handle it. If you are working already just give it a good time, dedication and happiness if you already have the chance don't loose it!

"You only have a second to do your mission," Time is important because through this, we get to show our true ability provided with love and perseverance towards our work. When we are given an opportunity, we should make sure that we will not waste it for this will be the our way in achieving our dreams. We must also make sure that we will not forget where we started for the reason that, if not for this, we might not have achieved our place today. We also need to learn how to share our blessings.

"Nai-Cha" MILK TEA

My father is one of the strong tea drinker I'd ever known, he is loving every minute and every last drop of it. He told me why is he addicted into this particular drink. He said, "because it cleans your whole body and reduces the heavy load on your stomach." One of the reason why my father loves to drink tea, beacause he used to be really big, by the help of tea he can still manage to eat right and prevent eating too much or encounter "IMPATSO." I never like the taste of tea or "tsaa". I don't like the scent, taste, texture, everything is just the same as water, it has natural leaves and if you imagine, nothing's special and nothing's new it's just an ordinary drink.

But then, I've heard some rumors that some stores, food chains and restaurants are experimenting on the drink, they transform it into something different without removing the main ingredients "tsaa" maybe a lot of people would try, increase the number of drinkers. The first destination I made was one of the famous fast food chain "Chowking" chowking is very well known for their halo-halo most of the people going there because of this, including myself. Along ago they experimented on "tsaa" not the normal tsaa that we usually drink, first of all this is a cold drink served in a plastic/disposable container with a huge straw, "Nai-Cha" is a cold milk and tea combined with shaved ice and some jellies. It is interesting to drink and a great discovery. My next stop was in 7/11 and I got mine shine "milk tea" when I first saw the bottle I just ignored it, then everytime I'm visiting 7/11 I always seeing that bottle until it reached my curiosity, so I bought one then drink, and I just said DAMN! the drink was really refreshing and I really tasted the "tsaa" itself together with the milk that was chilled and I called it a day! until now I still buying mine shine. I 'am proudly to present my personal favorite version of "Nai-Cha" I tried it from north park restaurant, compose of tea, milk, sago, gulaman and crushed ice, nothings change that much, but unlike the others this one has the complete richness of the flavor and the texture of the milk tea with affordable price and you can also add some special dishes. I suggest you come and visit if you have time, mine was located at makati ave. and there are a ot of branches, glorietta, san juan, ayala malls and SM malls.

St. Luke's

I chose St. Luke's hospital (food and nutrition) as my review, because I thought of a unique establishment, a hospital. St. Luke's is one of those hospital's that is really sensible nowadays, all the employees from bottom to top positions, it doesn't matter, they all love their jobs and are always willing to help people in need 24/7. St Luke's guarantee to their valued customers that they always have a place for them to stay safe and secured, in terms of health problems. St. Luke's is always at your side, they said. I also had a great time extending talking one of the executive chefs,  Chef Toby he was a former chef in my school ENDERUN COLLEGES unfortunately I didn't have a chance to become his student. Chef Toby enjoys working inside the hospital rather than working in a hotel, because chef Toby used to work in a hotel and he said, everyday is a war, it's like you need to explore and create new interesting choices of dishes, unlike in a hospital establishments the work is very light and people always look for peace, but it doesn't mean it's not good working in a hotel actullay, it is better to work there beacuse of higher salary, discover new techinques, experience difficulty, test your skills etc. There are so much things I've learned inside the hospital, and these are the things needed before moving inside one of the sensitive part of the hospital, the "food and nutrition processing." Everyone needs to be phsically healthy and not ill before going in, wear hairnet to prevent hairfall, ensure that you sanitize your hands (cleaning and sanitizing solution is provided) before touching any equipment inside the kitchen, ask permission before making a move these are just some of their rules to be followed, there are a lot more. Evaluation and monitoring means not one time visit on the kitchen, visit it often to ensure food safety and prevent food borne illness and other cases. Therapeutic section this section should ensure that all foods is served in the right patient and should not attempt to give it to a different patient. These are just few of my review regarding St. Luke's and there are a lot more to know especially when planning to build a hospital. Thanks to Chef Toby for giving me an idea and some informations what's happening inside the kitchen.

Kabuum....Zoinkk.....WHAM!

Have you heard of this "Like father like son"? Whatever dad does son does, how dad talks son talks, dad's attitude son also imitates and mostly what dad eats, son always finds a way to search that kind of food. It is very cool when we imitate our dad and always thinks that they are always in the right direction, so we tend to copy from them at all times, even sometimes we know they're not. Speaking of imitation, I 'am who is my father, it's kinda weird but I 'am. My dad used to be thin like "Gabby Concepcion" (Look a like), he's good looking, ideal body figure, sense of humor, characteristics of a gentleman. But then he started to love eating different kind of foods, as in random foods. Until one day he lost his body figure, he became fatter and fatter, without noticing while enjoying eating foods he was seriously fat, and the only thing in his mind was food. While he consistently love eating foods, I also continuously growing and having a defined and detailed information on how the world exist and how it will affect me, that's why I looked up to my dad for me to be guided. as time goes by as my father leading and guiding me on the right path I also adapt his happiness, eating.

Now, we are really look a like I got really big like him, I started to love foods also, it came to the point that I can't control myself anymore, it's like my stomach was never tired of receiving food, there's a lot of place inside. When maturity came I realize that I can be better not just in eating and I tell to myself I don't want to be like this forever, I thought of the best way to prevent my case, my dad and I jogged every single morning and chose what food we'll take. Now, it pays all our hard work and patience we are loving every moment of our lives because we achieved to be like a fit guy and I knew I can do better by just giving extra effort and dedicate time, and I won't be able to complete this without the inspiration of my father.

Last, September,5,2011 it's a Sunday, my family and I visited one of our favorite burger restaurant, the WHAM! burgers, to define the taste just say the word itself WHAMTASTIC! because, it's off the grill 400-600 1/3lb pure beef wow! together with tomato, lettuce, onions, cheese, mayonnaise or you can put unlimited mustard and ketchup with a 2 big buns and french fries on the side with large soft drinks or juice, what can you ask for? if you will imagine it's a perfect meal. Everything was perfect, I enjoyed eating with my family that night with a double whammy burger for my dinner (my favorite). Until now my dad and I still loves to eat, discover new dishes. That attitude will never change we are still monster eaters, it's just we are now fit and we know how to balance and discipline ourselves. I suggest you come and visit Wham! burgers, one is located at SM megamall the one we visited it is located building B beside K.K.K. and bacolo chicken inasal in front of escalator and ground floor, see you there!

Yummy! "kare-kare" - Graciana "Lola Gatching" De Guzman

Food is a primary need of everyone, this is where we get our energy so that we can work properly. Speaking of food, Food is our hobby in my family. Starting from my lolo's dad, lolo's wife, my lolo and his siblings, my dad and his siblings, of course me and my cousins, our siblings. We all have different attitudes and aspects in life, but there is on thing that  I 'am very sure, being addicted in eating or I can say we really love to eat. And there is only one person behind these affirmation attitudes. Our very own "Lola Gatching," she really has the knowledge when it comes to cooking. Everytime she cooks, everybody is waiting and craving her dishes.

One of her specialties is "kare-kare." When she cooks this, everyone feels the thrill on how will it taste, do you also want to taste it ? I bet you want. Alright!

First things first, she'll visit a market and complete the ingredients, beef, oxtail, ears, eggplant, pechay, sitaw, garlic, onions, atsute and a roasted nuts. If she have all these ingredients, it's time to deal with it. First she picks the delicious parts of the meat, The twalya, buntot, litid, laman, tenga. All these parts will be boiled until it get very soft and tasty. She'll gather all the meats, then separate it on a different "plangana" (big plate) and leave the fats, separated part of a meat, so that the juices of the dish will stay. Then after that, In a big pan or wok, she heats oil and atsuete oil. Sauté garlic, onions until golden brown, then add the stock, beef, oxtail, twalya, tenga, litid and peanut butter. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes. Salt to taste. Now we are half-way in lola gatching's "kare-kare." The next step is combining the healthy part of the dish, the eggplant, sitaw, pechay, she cook the vegetables for a few minutes, she wants the vegetables fresh so she don't overcook. We are not yet done, we still have one job to do, to add more flavor and for us to enjoy the "kare-kare," the bagoong alamang, lola gatching make her own bagoong, it's a secret but I can tell you a little style of her's, just saute the garlic into the oil then wait until it gets brown, then put the bagoong alamang and stir until it gets cooked. Together with a steam rice and roasted nuts on the side, we are now ready to eat. Enjoy eating! Adios!
